Pest Repellent Training for primary kids

This session explained about pest management in the garden with students were able to view pictures of some common pest in the garden.

Details were shared on why pest is hunting for plants, where do they hide and the life cycle of the pest. Using Pesticides and insecticides in present farming culture are unable to kill the pest.

The pest has tendency of building up resistance against chemical. A pest at its larvae stage, shed its skin several times.
This process helps to build up resistance against particular chemical used in the pesticides.

An exposure on about beneficial insects such as ladybird, preying mantis, spider and etc. was included the slides.
At the end of the session children were thought to make chili garlic paste as a simple pest repellents method and taken to garden for some garden care work.
